Baking with an Alder Plank adds a delightful mild smokey flavor that blends oh so perfectly with many recipes. Just oil the plank on both sides, place meat, fish, poultry or vegetables on the plank and bake at desired temperature. You can wash in hot water and re-use often. Alder Planks are favored among professional chefs and home users alike. We use it most often with the Hazelnut Maple Glaze where the roasted Hazelnuts and the Alder play off each other. Asparagus is delightful baked on Alder Planks. We place a handful on the plank right next to our fish. Simple, easy and healthy!
